Julia Dolores understands her history through a blend of firsthand experience and inherited stories. This understanding inspires her ongoing exploration of fragmented memory, domestic spaces, generational cycles, and the emotional atmospheres that define a sense of place.
She is interested in how memory is carried through the body, how gestures, emotions, and dynamics are repeated and reshaped across time. She approaches artmaking as a way to access these internal, often intangible states.
