Between Forgetting & Becoming
Between Forgetting & Becoming is a creative research activity project designed to explore concepts of familial storytelling, adolescent experience, and the voids that exist within personal memory.
I explore memory as something fluid; constantly shifting, reconstructed, and shaped by time. Rooted in the landscapes and domestic spaces of my past, these places dissolve into abstract, subliminal terrains where fragments of memory surface and rearrange. How does identity emerge from unstable recollection? Where do cycles of growth and an underlying sense of order begin to connect with internal experience?
This inquiry is deeply personal; as a twin, my understanding of self has always been relational, shaped by a shared origin that continues to echo through my identity. In this way, the work reflects a continual return; to memory, to origin, and to the space between forgetting and becoming.
